Surface Preparation

Surface preparation is essential for every great paint job. In fact, proper surface preparation is even more important than the painting itself.

During surface preparation:

• We repair the sheetrock before any interior paint job. We resecure and spackle all nail pops, spackle nail holes, and retape the drywall seams and stress cracks as needed.

• We scrape and clean loose paint, prime all exposed surfaces, and caulk all cracks.

• We rustproof where applicable.

Keith Williams Painting provides a variety of specialty finishes, such as color washing, leathering, ragging, sponging, marbleizing, and wood graining. Our faux finishes are limited only by your imagination.

Wallpapering

Wallpaper Removal

To bring a new look to a room that’s been wallpapered, first you have to remove the old wallpaper. Keith Williams Painting and Wallpapering can remove the old wallpaper using our safe and effective wallpaper removing solution.

Then we renew the surface area to like-new condition, so it can be painted, wallpapered, or receive a custom refinish.

Carpentry

Sometimes a coat of paint or layer of wallpaper isn’t enough to give your home that like-new feel. Maybe you need new moldings, or you’d like to add a chair rail, wainscot, or crown moldings. Or maybe you need to replace a window sill or some old shelving.

If the repairs are too extensive for us, that’s still no problem: We have exclusive relationships with several other carpenters who specialize in just what you need, and we’ll be happy to make arrangements with them to fix your home, and we’ll work with them to see that your repairs are finished completely.
