Basic Outline of Wallpaper Removal
Procedures
We provide this basic outline of procedures as a reference to you so
that you may be certain of the thorough job we render.
1)
All
floors and surrounding areas are protected with plastic and/or drop cloths.
2)
Wallpaper removal is carried out through a wet removal process using pump
sprayers with water and wallpaper removal chemicals that re-activate the
glue.
3)
All
walls are thoroughly washed to remove any remain glue and residue.
4)
Walls
are either full or spot primed, depending on the severity of the project,
with an oil-based stain sealer.
5)
Wall
surfaces (nailpops, holes, cracks, etc.) are spackled one to two times
depending on the
severity of the situation. Nailpops are re-secured and spackled. Severe
stress cracks are fiberglass mesh-taped and feather spackled. Corner beads
that are cracked are drywall taped and spackled. The entire surface area is
then pole sanded to smooth out the spackle as well as remove any bumps on
the surface. Metal corner beads are re-screwed and spackled.
6)
Paint
or Paper accordingly.
